The “Iceman” is a mummified (freeze-dried, to be a bit more accurate) neolithic man found in the Alps. For years he has been studied by scientists and the data they’ve produced have allowed historians to clarify the world of 9000 years ago. Everything from a neolithic diet to the ‘cutting-edge’ technology of that day has been revealed by this unfortunate victim.
Yes, that’s right. It appears that the Iceman was murdered as implied by an arrowhead that remained lodged in his body and discovered by modern (medical) imaging. Why? Good question. Perhaps this NOVA episode will reveal more facts to analyze, and draw more conclusions from, about our neolithic ancestors.
